Status and Evaluation of Energy Bill Assistance Programs for Income-Qualified Customers Presentation

On Feb. 22, at 1 p.m., the Public Utilities Commissioners will be hearing presentations on the Status and Evaluation of Energy Bill Assistance Programs for Income-Qualified Customers. Presenters will provide updates and respond to Commissioner questions about eligibility and enrollment processes for residential energy bill assistance programs, program budgets and oversight, and enrollment trends in recent years. The Colorado Energy Office will also discuss an impending evaluation of utility bill assistance programs required by Commission rules.

The virtual only meeting can be viewed via the webcast here. Though public comments aren’t open during commissioners’ informational meetings, viewers can send suggestions for questions in advance through this form.

Presenters: Low Energy Income Program (LEAP) staff on their program; utility representatives discussing their percentage of income payment programs (PIPP), and Energy Outreach Colorado. The Colorado Energy Office will also discuss an evaluation it will perform for utility PIPP programs this year.
