DENVER - Open enrollment for 2024 individual health insurance (meaning for people who don’t get their insurance from an employer) lasts until Jan. 15. That means for people who need health insurance, there is still time to choose a plan and get coverage that will start on February 1, 2024.
“If anyone needs health insurance for 2024, now is the time to find a plan and get enrolled,” said Colorado Insurance Commissioner Michael Conway. “Many people will qualify for financial assistance to help make insurance more affordable, so it’s important to check and see what you’re eligible for. And Colorado Option plans are again available. These plans not only offer competitive premiums but provide a number of reduced out-of-pocket costs for many services and benefits.”
Coloradans can use Connect for Health Colorado's Quick Cost and Plan Finder tool to shop for plans and get an idea of any financial help they may qualify for. Connect also offers free enrollment assistance from certified Brokers and community-based Assisters. A certified Broker can review plan options, give advice, check networks, and suggest a new plan. Use Connect for Health’s “We Can Help” website to find a Broker, Assister, or visit an Enrollment Center near you.
