In 1990, President George H. W. Bush approved a joint resolution designating November 1990 as “National American Indian Heritage Month.” For almost one hundred years, Americans both Indian and non-Indian urged that there be permanently designated by the nation a special place on the calendar to honor the contributions, achievements, sacrifices, and cultural and historical legacy of the original inhabitants of what is now the United States and their descendants: the American Indian and Alaska Native people.

DENVER – Public comment is sought on Black Hills Electric’s 2022 Electric Resource Plan (ERP), Clean, Energy Plan (CEP), and their 2023-2026 Renewable Energy Standard Compliance Plan, on Thursday Nov.

Denver, CO –The Colorado Public Utilities Commission (PUC), is seeking public input on rulemaking related to natural gas utilities through a virtual public comment hearing on Oct.

DENVER - Bright Health will not offer individual health plans (insurance for people who do not get coverage from an employer) in 2023 in all of its existing markets across the country. In Colorado, this means that its individual plans will not be available for the coming year on the state’s health exchange, Connect for Health Colorado, as well as being unavailable from the company directly (known as “off-exchange”).

DENVER, CO – October 5, 2022  - The Colorado Division of Securities is alerting the public to a scam that is taking place across the country. This year alone, since September 2021, there have been over 1,800 complaints of online romance scams to the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3), with losses of over $133.4 million.

In a turbulent and emotionally disconnected world, many people are lonely and looking for someone to share a connection with. While social media has made it easier to connect, it has also made it easier to deceive.

DENVER - Today, the Colorado Division of Insurance (DOI), part of the Department of Regulatory Agencies, announced it recovered $19.6 million for Colorado insurance consumers last year, an increase of 93% over the previous year. 

The 93% increase in money recovered was driven largely by an increase in recoveries due to the investigation of complaints related to the East Troublesome and Marshall fires.
