The Colorado Office of Policy, Research and Regulatory Reform (COPRRR), within the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), is currently seeking feedback from the public on the 2025 sunset reviews, which will be published on October 15, 2025.

This week, the federal government, through the Department of Health & Human Services and the U.S. Department of Treasury, announced that the Colorado Division of Insurance (DOI) will receive $339 million in pass-through funding for its health insurance initiatives, bringing total pass-through funds awarded since 2020 to $1.49 billion.

Brown University’s School of Public Health released research estimating the individual market premium impacts of the Colorado Option.

The Colorado Public Utilities Commission (PUC) will host several virtual public comment hearings and encourages anyone who is interested or potentially impacted to participate in these upcoming hearings. On January 6, 2025, the Director of the Division of Real Estate, Marcia Waters, executed a Stipulation and Final Agency Order for public censure, fines, and revocation of the license for Maksym Mykhailyna, License CR.200002225. The licensee operated as a certified residential appraiser with a principal office address of 1000 Speer Blvd Apt 1409, Denver, CO 80204-4079.  In addition, the licensee operated a controlling appraiser license, License CA.200002917, with the same address.

The fall weather is turning to winter and with this comes the potential for storms that can bring wind, rain, and snow across the state. These changes in weather and other unforeseen events may also bring power outages that disrupt daily routines and pose safety risks.

On October 16, 2024, the Director of the Division of Real Estate, Marcia Waters, executed a Final Agency Order for public censure, fines, and to revoke the license of JoLinda Wilson, License IL.40012621. The licensee operated as a real estate broker with a principal office address of 310 18th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80631.

The reports have been sent to the Colorado General Assembly and are now available online at coprrr.colorado.gov.

The Colorado Public Utilities Commission announced the second year of the pilot Utility Bill Help program, a utility energy assistance program for income qualified consumers. The UBH program helps Coloradans access resources to manage winter heating expenses.

The Colorado Civil Rights Division (CCRD) recognizes the importance and impact of the  Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on today's 34th Anniversary. The ADA is the first comprehensive civil rights act for people with disabilities.
